Heaven’s Grocery Store

I was walking down life’s highway a long time ago,
One day I saw a sign that read Heaven’s Grocery Store,
As I got a little closer the door came open wide,
And when I came to myself I was standing inside,
I saw a host of angels they were standing everywhere,
One handed me a basket and said my child shop with care.
Everything a Christian needed was in that Grocery Store.
And all you couldn't carry you could come back the next day for more,
First I got some PATIENCE, LOVE was in the same row,
Further down was UNDERSTANDING, you need that everywhere you go.
I got a box or two of WISDOM, a bag or two of FAITH.
I just couldn’t miss the HOLY GHOST for it was all over the place!
I stopped to get some STRENGTH and COURAGE to help me run this race,
By then my basket was getting full, but I remembered I needed some GRACE.
I didn’t forget SALVATION, for salvation that was free.
So… I tried to get enough of that to save both you and me.
Then, I started up to the counter to pay my GROCERY bill,
For I thought I had everything to do my MASTER’S WILL.
As I went up to the aisle, I saw PRAYER and I just had to put that in,
For I knew when I stepped outside, I would run right into sin.
PEACE and JOY was plentiful, they were on the last shelf.
SONG and PRAISES were hanging near so I just helped myself.
Then, I said to the Angel, “now how much do I owe?”
He just smiled and said, “Just take them everywhere you go.”
Again, I smiled at him and said, “How much do I really owe?”
He smiled again and said, MY CHILD, JESUS PAID YOUR BILL ALONG TIME AGO.

Hey! Everything we need as Christians, Jesus already paid the price. It is finished!

“When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar (way of salvation), He said, ‘ “It is finished.’” 

What is finished? Everything a Christian will ever need to live a successful life on this earth. Healing, deliverance, prosperity, salvation, forgiveness for sins (past, present, and future sins Hebrew chapter 10) etc, are finished works of Jesus Christ.  All the promises of God are finished works through Christ Jesus, Christ is in us the hope of glory (Colossians 1:24-27)! As born-again believers made righteous saved by grace through faith and filled with the Holy Spirit, we have Christ on the inside of us and what He has we have. What we need from Christ, He placed it on the inside of us when we received Him and the Holy Ghost moved in on the inside of us.

Well if everything we will ever need to live on this earth is on the inside of us through Christ Jesus, how do we get it to show up? How do we make a withdrawal on the promises of God? Good question… Renew your mind (Romans 12:2), change the tense (Stop asking God to give something He has already given.), make a demand, and acknowledge the existence!

“But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” ~Philippians 4:19

According to the Greek translation ‘need’ means demand. Instead of asking for what Jesus has already finished for us, start placing a demand on the finished work/promises and stand on it, believe it, be thankful and watch it show up! When the enemy comes, because he will come, to try to sway you and make you doubt the promises- because it hasn’t manifested yet. Keep standing on the word, keep thanking Him and making confessions on the promises you are believing God for and tell the devil, “Get thee behind! God is faithful to perform His word and do what He says. He is not a man that He should lie.”

When a Christian gets sick, they should not be asking for healing. Healing is a finished work. Prayers and confessions should be thanking God that you are already healed and receive it by faith!

Even though I don’t see it yet, I believe it, for the just shall walk by faith and not by sight. ~Hebrews 10:38 & 2 Corinthians 5:7

We are blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ! What Christ has, we have! We in Him and He in us!

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.” ~Ephesians 1:3

“That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus” (Philemon 6). Acknowledge to believe on the existence of what you are believing God for, according to His will.

“Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” ~Mark 11:24

Thank God for what He has already done, believe and receive by faith as shown in the example of the poem, Heaven’s Grocery Store. Jesus already paid the price for everything a born-again Christian will ever need. It's all free and all we have to do is place a demand on the supply in Heaven’s Grocery Store and receive it by faith! All that belongs to Jesus, belongs to us. IT IS FINISHED! No more asking Jesus to do what He has already done.
